I’m joining in with The First Grade Parade to share my favorite pins. That’s Pinterest talk if you aren’t up on the lingo!
I am so addicted to Pinterest, you probably can tell.
I have the app and a new ipad and love browsing for helpful tips and inspiring ideas.
Mel over at From the Pond made a great image that sums up my addiction and maybe yours!
Here are my favorite pins from the past week:
Circus tent with streamers from PAK -Art Alaska. This looks like such a great idea but it would take forever to do. It would look amazing though.
I was so excited that I found this pin because it says it all. What a great way to invite students to begin a new year or just get excited about being part of a group. I would want this in the school office. Unfortunately there was no link back for this pin. 🙁
A scrap bin for the table, why didn’t I think of that? Gotta love Pinterest! This will save so many headaches and will be quicker and easier to pack-up! This great idea can be found over at Peace, Love and First Grade’s blog.
Here’s another one of those ideas that are so simple and clever. I love this idea from almiskeenah.
Portable tens frame made from a plastic tablecloth for kinesthetic maths lessons. There was no link for the source of this genius idea (if anyone knows who it belongs to, please drop me a message.
I love learning about the brain and when I saw this neat image from Dyslexic Kids. I just had to pin it. Are you a left or right side brain?
I love this simple but effective idea for Pre-K and K. Learning the alphabet and its order is so easy and fun this way. I also shared this on our Facebook page and they loved it too. I found it over at Raising Little Shoots blog.
I am always looking for mentor texts to help with genre writing. I pinned this because I have seen it before but couldn’t find it once I looked. You can find this book and a few others including ‘Writer’s Toolbox’ over at Nyla’s Crafty Teaching blog. She has a great post about the book; ‘Writer’s Toolbox and why it is such a useful book for the classroom.
Now this is powerful and I had to pin it to remember it. Brooke over at Teachable Moments even has it as a file that you can download. I think I need it to lose about 8kg!
Yes, be grateful for everything it’s easier to be happier that way! You will find this image over at Pawley’s Island Posh blog.
This made me smile when I saw it, I just had to pin it! We have a yellow Labrador Retriever (these two are Golden Retrievers) and we live very close to the beach. This image just melts my heart!
I was searching Etsy the other day for Mother of Pearl mirrors (still can’t find one) and got a bit distracted by the accessories category and stumbled upon this necklace. I just love it. I found it over at Sparkling Jewelry Creations on Etsy.
