Guided Reading Reminder/Help Slips

Guided Reading Reminder/Help Slips

I have revised our Guided Reading Help Slips and decided to list it as a new resource. It is essentially the same concept but set up differently and with a few new reminders.
The reminder slips are designed for teachers to use during their guided reading sessions with individuals.
At the end of the guided reading session or just after the student has read an instructional text, use the appropriate slip by ripping it off and slipping it inside your student’s reader.

This is a great way to communicate reading progress and objectives with parents.

Simply print either the color or black and white version provided in the file. Print 4-5 copies of each page, cut and staple. Rip off the skill/strategy reminder to place student readers.

You may like to store your slips in a long container, as seen in the image below.

You can print off the slips in either color or black and white.

Each page has the skill/strategy listed five times for you to print off ample sets.

Wow-this is really a genius idea! So simple for a teacher to manage and easy for parents to know what you are working on at school. SO SMART!

These are great! I especially like that I could quickly staple the slip to the reading log at night to help parents know which strategy we are working on at school. Quick way to differentiate! Thanks!!

I am so in love with these!!! I would love to have these to help keep my students engaged in their lessons and understand what their goal/strategy is! What better way than to have these right in front of them?? I also love your idea of sending them home so the parent can also understand what we are focusing on in school!! Thanks so much! kllove44@aol.com

These would be awesome to help my beginner readers see that it is ok to take it slow so they can understand what they are reading and reach their goal!!! These would also be helpful with my second grader…ahhagermama@gmail.com

I ask my students to read 15 minutes each night. I have purchaed Guided Reading Book. My students need these reminders as they struggle with reading, they are learning three languages at present. These reminders would help keep there focus. Thanks.

Love these reminders. These would not only be great for guided reading, but to send home as well. They will help parents learn some strategies to help their child when they are reading at home. These are Awesome!
