Group Hand Print Christmas Tree

I love having the children create a super big Christmas tree with hand prints.
I usually purchase a few yards of calico but this year I used an old white sheet.

We made a bit of a mess, but I think it adds character!
To make the tree, all you need to do is draw the outline of a Christmas tree, in this case, I just drew a triangle tree with a pot as the base.
The children painted their hands and stamped their hand print inside the outline of the tree several times.
I encouraged them to paint different shades of green as they go.

You can write their names at the bottom, as a keepsake, if you like.

I drew the additions at the bottom of the tree and painted them myself.
You can add glitter before the paint dries and you could also stick ornaments that your students have crafted on the tree too.
Tip: Be sure to place plastic or cardboard under the fabric as the paint will seep through.
