Working on Phoneme Manipulation Skills

I want my students to be able to manipulate phonemes in the following ways:

1. Phoneme Manipulation: Phoneme Deletion
2. Phoneme Manipulation: Phoneme Addition
3. Phoneme Manipulation: Phoneme Substitution

I don’t want students to just be focused on substitution. Deleting and adding phonemes, also sets strong foundations for word attack skills when reading as well as strategies for spelling.

I created these CVC Phoneme Manipulation Cards just for this purpose.

Print then store cards in a container or zip bag with student instruction card, center cards, and enough record sheets for groups.
